{"id":931,"date":"2013-05-29T12:37:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-29T11:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?page_id=931"},"modified":"2023-05-24T12:09:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T11:09:49","slug":"grand-designs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?page_id=931","title":{"rendered":"8.1 Grand Designs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I can&#8217;t take any credit for the <em>idea<\/em> for this scheme of work, this came from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mwclarkson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Clarkson<\/a> who has a very similar topic on his <a href=\"http:\/\/voyager.egglescliffe.org.uk\/mwc\/mukoku\/course\/view.php?id=6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This scheme of work aims to teach learners how to plan and carry out a project while applying a variety of IT skills, such as 3D modelling, spreadsheet modelling and presentation skills. Learners will plan their project by using a Gantt chart, design a house using Google SketchUp, calculate the expenditures of the project using Excel then produce a presentation to explain why their house should be built.
