You can find my full bio on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/geekynicki\/\">LinkedIn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am an award-winning former subject leader and Advanced Skills Teacher in Computing. \u00a0I hold a degree in computing and was teaching for 10 years before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?p=1584\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abruptly<\/a> taking a career break to raise my children. Before this my main focus in school was developing our key stage 3 curriculum to meet the new computing requirements and rolling out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?p=1522\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Classroom<\/a> as our new VLE.<\/p>\n<p>A particular passion of mine previously was the use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?page_id=189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kodu Game Lab<\/a> as a tool for teaching basic programming skills to young people. For this I received the award for &#8220;Cutting Edge Use of Technology for Learning&#8221; at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interactiveclassroom.net\/?p=757\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Partners in Learning Global Forum in 2012<\/a>.
